Hey all! Pete here. I have decided to try and raise a few bucks for drought relief. As all of you are surely aware by now our farmers have been doing it really tough for a long time.
If you’ve ever eaten anything ever, it’s come from one of Australia’s farms. Without farmers, life as we know it would not exist. Growing up I was lucky enough to spend a lot of time out in the bush at mate’s farms throughout country NSW. From an early age I gained an appreciation for farmers, how hard working they are, how caring they are, how giving they are. The saying ‘There’s nothing like good old country hospitality’ rings true. I’ve had total strangers in the bush stop and help me with flat tyres. I had a serious motorbike accident at a mates farm when I was 17 and they didn’t even bat an eyelid to the condition of the bike. In fact it is a story we still laugh about to this day.
It’s a hard way of life on the land, when there’s plenty of feed about. When it doesn’t rain for huge lengths of time it makes life next to impossible. To see hardened farmers on the TV crying after they’ve had to shoot their stock, as there’s nothing to feed them is extremely hard to watch. WE CAN HELP!
I have designed a one off t-shirt for drought relief. Over the next two weeks you will have the chance to buy a shirt and help the famers at the same time. ALL PROCEEDS WILL BE GOING TO CHARITY. After printing costs your shirt purchase will have enough left over to buy ONE WHOLE BALE!! You get a sweet shirt… A farmer gets a bale!
The shirts are to be hand printed on 100% pre shrunk cotton in the USA. The order will be processed in two weeks once everyone has had time to buy his or her sweet shirt. Please allow 3-4 weeks for printing and delivery. Collection is encouraged if you live in Sydney (I’m located in North Sydney – if you’re near by I’m happy to drop it off), as it’ll save you a few bucks in shipping. Shipping Australia wide is $8.
